Come Grow with Us!

Join the Portage County Master Gardener Volunteers for our Annual Plant &Trash to Treasure Sale!

This annual sale is the major fundraising event for Portage County MGVs, supporting our public programs and events, and our scholarship fund. The sale is held the Saturday before Mother's Day in May from 9-2pm at the Portage County Soil and Water Conservation District at 6970 St. Rt. 88, Ravenna, Ohio 44266. The plant sale is in the parking lot, and the Trash to Treasure sale is located inside the building. MGVs donate perennials, natives, shrubs, trees, and house plants and garden-related items. Hanging baskets, annuals, and vegetables are also available.

Native Plants Sold Here

Why do we sell native plants?

We sell native plants because native plants are crucial for supporting native pollinators. Native plants require less water and chemicals, help local wildlife, conserve biodiversity, prevent erosion, and restore ecosystems.
