Richard H. Mansfield Memorial Scholarship June 1 Recognizes Portage County 4-H /Jr. Fair Small Animal participants. Open to high school seniors or vocational/college freshmen as of Jan. 1 of the award year.
Portage County 4-H Endowment Scholarship July 1

-Current high school seniors or currently enrolled in a college, university or trade school

-Must reside in Portage County

-Must be a Portage County 4-H member in good standing and have been enrolled for a min. of 3 years 

Portage County Horse Alumni Scholarship July 1 For youth who have participated in the Portage County 4-H horse project, this scholarship is offered for pursuit of study in any field at any secondary education institution.

Portage County Jr. Fair Market Livestock Exhbitor Scholarship

(Updated application available in early summer)

This Scholarship was created through the donations of animals for resale/2nd sale at the Portage County Randolph Fair’s Market Livestock auctions.

Applicants must have participated in the Jr. Fair Market Livestock Auction at the Portage County Randolph Fair.

Portage County 4-H Life Skills Committee Scholarship Aug.1

Scholarship opportunity for Portage County 4-H members who have successfully completed a Life Skills project(s) for two or more years.

Must fill out the Ohio Achievement Record Award!

Morgan Hasbrouck 4-H Scholarship Fund April 1

The Morgan Hasbrouck 4-H Scholarship was established to preserve the memory of Morgan Hasbrouck, who was an active member of the
Summit Sizzlers 4-H Livestock Club, by providing scholarships for active or former 4-H members.

Eligibility requirements include senior in or graduate of a Summit or Portage County school and active or former 4-H participation.

Virgil L. Strickler Youth Reserve Program April 1

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be a high school junior, senior or undergraduate student continuing their education at an accredited institution in an undergraduate course of study.

  • Applicant must reside in the State of Ohio.

  • Applicant must be eligible to be a participant in the Junior Fair (not older than 19 years of age as of January 1, 2026) and must have served as an active participant in both the Ohio State Fair Junior Division and their local county fair.

  • Previous applicants and winners may apply if they meet the above criteria.
