Seth Kannberg is the Agriculture and Natural Resources Extension Educator for Portage County. He earned both his Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Plant Systems with a specialization in Agronomy and his Master of Science in Horticulture and Crop Science from the Ohio State University. His thesis was on the effects of early planting date on soybean grain yield when grown within a rye cover crop system. Seth grew up in Solon, Ohio and has been serving Portage County since 2023.

Seth is a member of the Agronomic Crops Team and has worked extensively in northeast Ohio with horses and cattle. He is looking forward to helping residents of Portage County improve their farming, ranching, and land use practices.

When in doubt Seth can always be found on the nearest rugby pitch where he plays winger for the Cleveland Crusaders Rugby Football Club. He previously played for the Scioto Valley Rugby Football Club in Columbus.
