Say Cheese! Ever wanted to try your hand at home cheesemaking? Join Abbe Turner of Lucky Penny Farm to learn the tricks of the trade for making delicious cheeses at home. A simple ricotta will be made along with a demo on edible flowers, cheese boards, and elegant appetizers for summer entertaining. Samples provided, all questions answered. Class size is limited for personal attention.
Abbe Turner, owner of Lucky Penny Farm and Mushroom Harvest Provisions is a goat farmer, cheesemaker, professional grant writer, and seasoned entrepreneur. Abbe currently farms mushrooms in Athens, Ohio and is recognized as a leader in small business, artisan dairy and of women in agriculture.
Abbe has received associate degrees in Viticulture and Enology from Kent State University and received her Master’s Degree in Arts Policy and Administration from The John Glenn School at The Ohio State University. She has a Portage county farm of chickens and goats and is happiest wearing muck boots and drinking coffee.

The cost of the program is $35.00. All registrations must be paid one week prior to the program. No walk in registrations will be allowed.
